27 degrees, feels like 23 🫣next 24 hours will be a test to a number of factors changed in this year‘s Igloo construction. I was able to get a few bales of straw up as a rough barrier to the sun before leaving for work.

Tunnel is complete! I modified my tunnel to increase accessibility by humans and dogs. Lincoln inspired me this afternoon.

IGLOO UPDATE - short work session in process -
Blocks picked for the 6th row (start of the igloo ceiling). Placement of blocks continues to get more difficult at this stage.
Current temperatures should help the “stick” factor.
Most likely will need to custom cut each block as we close in the opening of the igloo. It’s 6 degrees and feels like -7!

It was a cold one last night / this morning.
I broke one of my thermal containers of water last night because it was so cold.
I discovered another two tricks too when it comes to custom sizing blocks and placing ice blocks not fully frozen (with water centers).
Getting closer to the tricky part of the build when we begin to close the top.
The next 5 days in the extended forecast is looking good (5 igloo icons)!

Warming up with dry clothes and dinner (thanks Sam!). Plan to head back out for the 5th row soon. The last two blocks for the 4th row were interesting! I will share when I head back out. Of course my phone died for FB live folks right before.
